| About
Us
The entire Prairie
Home staff is dedicated to creating a warm,
nurturing atmosphere where our residents can
grow and thrive. Our goal is to help our residents
maintain a sense of dignity and independence,
while enjoying the security and companionship
of good company, visiting family members and
our family of caregivers. Our services are based
on Christian principles and tailored to the
specific needs and preferences of each resident
and family. A pre-admission assessment is always
conducted to gather information about how we
can best serve and care for your loved one.
Prairie Home can be a place for a temporary
recovery or a lifelong alternative to an institutional
setting.

Prairie
Home Medical Staff
It takes a special person to provide loving
and compassionate care for the elderly. We
look for employees that have a true interest
and heart in serving the aging. Every staff
member goes through a screening process, including
a criminal background check. All individuals
selected for employment at Prairie Home must
be of high moral and ethical character, and
they must be involved in long-term care because
they want to assist the elderly. They must
also display a willingness to learn and keep
current in the changes required in long-term
care.
All Prairie Home Caregivers are CNA or RA
certified and work closely with Prairie Home's
RN and Facility Director to ensure the highest
quality care for each resident. Our staff
is committed to continuous improvement and
Caregivers are actively involved in continuing
education through in-house training supervised
by our RN or external Medical training providers.
Plus staff is sent out for additional training
when necessary. The Prairie Home medical team
specializes in Alzheimer’s and Dementia
Care plus Prairie Home is a recognized clinical
training site for the Wisconsin CNA School.
Prairie Home’s entire management team,
consisting of state licensed Administrators,
Directors, Managers, Shift Supervisors and
an on-site RN, work together to regularly
monitor each resident. The team collaborates
with physicians, therapists and case managers
to create an overall health care plan and
ensure comprehensive care for each individual.
Heart of Prairie Home Management
Prairie Home Assisted Living is a division
of Prairie Home Elder Services and works hand-in-hand
with HomeAid Health Care, a provider of non-medical
home care services. Both companies are owned
and operated by John McCarthy and his family
and strive to provide excellence in Elder
Care. Prairie Home Assisted Living and HomeAid
Health Care are based on Christ-centered principals
and values which we try to reflect in every
aspect of how we minister to our clients and
operate our businesses. The family takes personal
pride in the service and care provided through
Prairie Home Assisted Living and HomeAid Health
Care.
Our Mission
When loved ones age and are physically unable
to live alone, the effect can be far reaching
and traumatic. The Prairie Home mission is
to reflect the love of Jesus Christ by helping
families address the challenges of aging.
The entire Prairie Home Assisted Living staff
is dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable
environment and loving, personalized care
which meet the emotional, physical and spiritual
needs of our residents.

Dear Friends,
When circumstances don’t allow you to
care for your loved one yourself, you worry
about them. Did they take their medication
today? Are they eating well? Have they had
an unexpected fall or accident? You love them
and want what’s best for them. Yet sometimes
your concern seems overwhelming. Even so,
it’s hard for you to picture them in
a nursing home, or an institutionalized facility.

That’s
why Prairie Home is a welcome alternative for
so many families. I’m John McCarthy and
this is my wife, Fran. We’ve been the
hands-on owners and administrators of Prairie
Home since its founding in 1998. Prairie Home
is a faith based assisted living facility that
ministers to the aging in our community. Our
compassionate and professional Caregivers provide
more than just quality health care. It is our
goal to create a home-like environment where
our residents find the emotional and spiritual
connection they need at this stage of their
lives.
Prairie Home Elder Services recently introduced
HomeAid Health Care. HomeAid allows us to bring
the quality care that Prairie Home is renowned
for right to the homes of elderly in the Fox
Valley area. We are very excited about being
able to extend our care to those who need help
at home as well as continue to serve our residents
at our Prairie Home facility.
Let us show our care to your loved one and your
family.
